Although this sea creature has inspired quite a few light fixtures in its time, this one is perhaps one of the more different designs. Not only is it very simple, it is made out of wood instead of a transparent glass or plastic to better mimics its translucent skin.

Nevertheless, the domed top and long legs of the Medusa Lamp by Thomas Merlin are undeniably inspired by the marine creature. Specifically made out of beech wood and LED light bulbs, it casts a directional glow that is particularly perfect for workstation settings, whether that be at home or at the office.
