Juxtaposing Technical Outerwear

MEANSWHILE Launches Its FW19 Capsule With Deconstructed Looks

Japanese fashion label MEANSWHILE introduces its latest collection designed for the Fall/Winter 2019 season. The range highlights a juxtaposing design language as the pieces feature progressive cut-and-sew looks whilst also delivering traditional silhouettes. The range of technical outerwear takes on a purposefully deconstructed look with a technical component.

The seasonal collection is made up of a blend of textiles informed with a color palette of khaki, forest green, maroon, navy blue, brown, and gray. Some of the pieces in the capsule include twin-pocketed vests, oversized peacoats, as well as long parkas. One of the standout items is the down jacket with padded construction, detailed with a thin hood to contrast the overall shape. The hood also features gridded designs with a raised collar, taped zipper, and drawstrings for additional adjustments.
