Disneyfied Marvel Mutants

Matthew Humphreys Draws X-Men as Disney Characters With Charming Results

Like LEGO, Disney can take pretty much any source material and incorporate into it a family-approved style and format, as demonstrated by Matthew Humphreys in his collection of X-Men as Disney characters.

Throughout all of the classic Disney movies, similarities can be made between the aesthetic aspects of the characters from different films. Belle, Cinderella, Mulan and Ariel all look like princesses from a Disney movie due to texture, color, illustration style, etc. The same can be said about the villains; Jafar, Scar and Gaston are all very different characters, but still easily distinguished as the antagonist within the story as soon as the audience sees them.

Mathew Humphreys takes the popular aesthetic style of Disney films and applies it to the X-Men cast brilliantly. The style of the animation and the roster of characters go together to create an "appropriate for all ages" cast of Marvel mutants.
