At CES 2018, the Matrix PowerWatch X was unveiled as a unique timepiece that is entirely powered by one's own body heat when worn. Like the previously launched PowerWatch, the all-new PowerWatch X features thermoelectric technology. The new watch boasts a rugged, water-resistant exterior that appeals to the adventurous consumer.

The product also boasts the ability to automatically share push notifications from one's smartphone, as well as automatic data storage and sleep when the device is removed.

Ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show this year, Matrix co-founder and CEO, Akram Boukai noted: "With close to 200,000 people expected to attend CES this year... there will be enough body-heat at the Las Vegas Convention Center to power the entire Strip. As PowerWatch and PowerWatch X are overwhelmingly proving, our technology has the power to harvest that energy and leverage it to run our devices and more."
