These Marvel Illustrations Commemorate National Cat Day

Marvel Comics takes National Cat Day seriously. Very, very seriously. That's why they've released a collection of illustrations depicting cats as iconic Marvel superheroes.
The images, which were shared on Marvel Comics' Facebook page, shows cats in the guise of Thor, Iron Man, Spiderman and Wolverine.
Looking at these images, one can't help but wonder why Marvel didn't make these superheroes feline in the first place. If you think a cat in a Thor costume looks ridiculous, think again -- Marvel's feline Thor looks as bad-ass as the Thor you grew up with. Having a spider-cat variety of Spiderman makes even more sense because of cats' propensity to jump up and down and all over the place anyway.
Either way, it's great to see Marvel recognizing National Cat Day for the important occasion that it is.
