Portuguese artist Marlene Vinha is shaking things up in the fashion universe with her offbeat, garden-inspired manicures. Her astroturf-like tips are budding in conversation-worthy details and making DIY divas get gaga over the possibilities.
Similar to the famed caviar manicures, these blossoming nail art designs use unconventional materials and techniques to achieve their characteristic look. In addition to the grassy garden motif, Marlene Vinha has also created an all-white 3D floral design. The artist has also created a series of illustrations and photographs appropriately entitled 'Talk To The Hand.' In collaboration with photographer Fred Gomes and illustrators Raquel Graça and Joana Gome, the series captures the garden-inspired manicures in a whimsical, storybook style.
Is the Marlene Vinha astroturf manicure impractical? Perhaps. Is it badass and jaw-dropping cool? Most definitely.
