Epiphone has partnered with GRAMMY-nominated artist Marcus King to release the Marcus King El Dorado, a limited-edition signature acoustic guitar that faithfully recreates the legendary 1970s-era model, which served as King's first instrument and a gift from his father. Now, this iconic instrument is reimagined for modern players with all-solid tonewoods, vintage-inspired appointments, and contemporary electronics.
The Marcus King El Dorado features a square-shoulder dreadnought body with solid rosewood back and sides and a solid spruce top. The mahogany neck boasts a comfortable C profile, 25.5-inch scale length, and a traditional dovetail joint that ensures stability and playability. Personal touches throughout the instrument honor King's journey, including custom inlays of South Carolina's outline and Tennessee's Tri-Star emblem on the rosewood bridge, a custom pickguard modeled after his original, and a mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo on the headstock.
