Visible Magnetic Fields

NASA's Magnetic Movie

Magnetic fields are usually invisible but scientists from NASA's Space Sciences Laboratory have successfully found a way to make them visible, as demonstrated in the video. NASA's short film, appropriately called Magnetic Movie, shows magnetic fields of different colors moving and dancing around in an amazing and really pretty 'show' of science and special effects.

This is really amazing stuff.

Implications - When a concept or theory is difficult to describe, one of the easiest ways to get the information across is to through a visual representation. If a single picture is worth a thousand words, imagine how much a movie made up of hundreds is worth. Educators in every sector could benefit from correctly implementing the use of well-made visuals.
