The Guo Pei MAC Makeup Collection Channels Chinese Elegance

The newest MAC makeup collection created in collaboration with Chinese haute couture designer Guo Pei is the ultimate fusion of East meets West for spring. With penchant for vivid florals, prints and colors, the designer's 16-piece MAC collection will explore themes of vitality in Chinese culture. As for the nature-derived inspiration behind the cosmetic line, Pei states that she was inspired by the old saying: "There is a kingdom in a flower; a wisdom in a leaf."

With China named the theme of this year's Met Gala, Rihanna sported a vibrant couture dress by the Chinese designer that many have called the winner of this year's red carpet looks. As the designer responsible for the creation of the ceremonial dresses worn during the 2008 Beijing Olympics, it won't be long before Pei is already on her way to becoming a favorite in North America too.
