Rideshare Pronoun Option Updates

Rideshare Company Lyft Adds Pronoun Options for Riders

The popular rideshare app, Lyft has added a pronoun option for riders to increase comfort and inclusivity during their ride. The features are part of a 'Two is Too Few' campaign and was launched in time for LGBTQ Pride month. The pronoun option will remain a staple feature moving forward and include they, them, theirs, she him, hers, he him, hers, my pronoun isn’t listed and prefer not to say.

These options will be included on the riders profile in an attempt to change the deep-rooted gender binary. The company has also partnered with the National Center for Transgender Equality to assist transgender drivers in changing their driver's license name and gender.
