Electronic Materials Office Debuts Industrial-Inspired Keyboard

London-based electronics startup Electronic Materials Office has revealed its debut low-profile industrial keyboard called the Altar I. Andrew Emerson founded Electronic Materials Office, and the company is a new consumer-focused hardware corporation that aims at long-lasting designs from sustainable materials.

The Altar I keyboard is made of sustainable materials made of post-consumer waste plastic. The industrial low-profile keyboard features a minimalist design, which is also inspired by industrial-appearing keyboards. The keyboard contains a rotary encoder knob, a USB-C port, and a lean aluminum monobody. The also keyboard is a novel key type that was made for easy touch typing on its keys and provides Bluetooth connectivity that can remember two simultaneous devices. The keyboard is available for pre-order on April 6.
