Looking like a hybrid of a lounger and a piece of exercise equipment, the LoWnge Chair is an undoubtedly unusual bit of furniture. It's elegantly sculpted from two smooth panels of bent timber but it's accented with the unexpected insertion of a spongy spherical cushion.
Gradosei's creation may appear to be questionably comfortable, when in actual fact, the contemporary perch employs a visco-elastic polyurethane material that acts as a memory foam to each unique sitter. The ball in the middle of the odd wooden chair is effortlessly compressed by the weight of the user to provide a snug seat. It would be fascinating to test out the LoWnge Chair to see how it supports the human body with its rigid lumber planes that flank the softer element in the center.
