Showing of a flock of new attributes, the Lockitron cellphone-controlled keyless entry system more robust and easier to use than ever.

Once installed over your existing deadbolt lock, the Lockitron lets you or anyone you trust control that lock from anywhere in the world where you can find an internet connection. The Wi-Fi connected can also detect when there is a knock at your door and send you an alert so you can decide whether you want to unlock the door for an expected visitor or get up and investigate if they aren't expected. And since it's directly connected to your phone, the Lockitron can detect when you are approach and automatically unlock the door so you don't even have to bother fumbling with your keys.

This latest version of the Lockitron is expected to be released some time around March 2013 so until then, you might still have to get up and answer the door every once in a while.
