Alessandro Mendini and Porro Design the Linea Storage Collection

Alessandro Mendini works together with Porro on the new Linea Storage collection, which is defined by its smart storage solutions. It is made up of a series of colorful and unique storage units that were made by Mendini, a late postmodernist designer and architect a few years ago. It is now revived by Italian furniture brand Porro as it is developing the capsule for the first time.

Mendini first created the units with a cellulose acetate surface in primary tones. There are three items that make up the collection including two sideboard cupboard units and a writing desk. Mendini's daughters Fulvia and Elisa note, “We identified in the Alessandro Mendini archive some drawings that had a very advanced level of design. These pieces of furniture are really very faithful to the original design, we are really happy for this collaboration.”
