Industrial studio Relvãokellermann designed the LIGRE youn which is a portafilter espresso machine with a dynamic and stealthy design language. It appears to have a minimal look with a monolithic and modern language as a reflection of how we approach drinking and living today.

Ana Relvão and Gerhardt Kellermann led the design process with the help of Florian Diele, Theor Luxisotto, and Ingrid Kussatz. Many of the influences nod to German design and culture as it is rooted in design with a focus on 'efficiency and functionality.' The LIGRE youn has no curves with only anodized aluminum sheathed materials and a cylindrical group head. Other factors are the steamer wand and the lapel-sized monochromatic display.
