Trek is updating its Marlin+ 6 Gen 2 with Bosch’s upgraded Active Line Plus motor, bringing more power to an electric mountain bike designed for both everyday rides and off-road adventures. The Marlin+ range sits between commuter e-bikes and more trail-focused electric mountain bikes, making it an option for riders who want to travel to work during the week and explore gravel paths at the weekend.
The new motor delivers up to 600 watts of power and 60 Nm of torque in a smaller, lighter package. Trek is the first bicycle maker in North America to use the upgraded drive unit. In the US, pedal assistance cuts out at 20 mph, keeping the bike within Class 1 e-bike limits.
Priced from $2,999, the Marlin+ 6 Gen 2 brings Bosch’s latest motor technology to a bike built for mixed terrain. Its combination of everyday usability and trail-ready capability is aimed at riders who would rather have one e-bike for commuting, gravel routes and recreational rides than buy separate bikes for each.
