Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation Creates Sustainable 'Lyon' Coffee

The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation has created a coffee brand in collaboration with La Colombe, a famous coffee-roasting company. The new coffee, called 'Lyon,' will be made using sustainable processes and will benefit the causes supported by the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation such as helping endangered species, preserving forests, providing disaster relief and more.

Founded in 1998, the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation was founded by the actor and his family to help social causes that promote a sustainable future. Now, 100 percent of the proceeds from the organization's newly created 'Lyon' coffee will go toward these social causes. What's more, the Lyon coffee was created using socially responsible practices -- for example, its beans are sourced from farms spanning Haiti to Ethiopia that apply sustainable farming principles.

Says Leonardo DiCaprio, "Raising awareness on the most pressing environmental issues of our time is more important than ever. I am thrilled to be a part of this new project with La Colombe that will help aid the shift to a truly sustainable future for the planet and its inhabitants."
