Nathan Sawaya is a New York city Lego artist. Whatever you can dream up he can build it. His website features a huge assortment of his works, but by far his best pieces are his human sculptures. They have a movement and reality that would be hard for any artist to capture, and he has managed to capture it beautifully with simple little pieces of Lego.
Implications - The influence of LEGO extends far beyond children's toys and into worlds the art, fashion and architecture. Across the globe, incredibly intricate LEGO works that include sculptures, clothing, and even life-sized buildings, serve as popular tourist attractions for consumers who are in disbelief at the patience, dedication and talent that are at the core of these works.
