The Nigerian LEAD Project Foundation Strives for Accountability

Based in Nigeria, the LEAD Project Foundation, which stands for the Leadership, Empowerment, Advocacy and Development Project, is working to increase and build democratic practice. The social business does this through running partnership programs between national and local government agencies as well as civil society and the private sector. The overall goal is somewhat two-sided on the citizen and government sides: it is to get people participating as well as ensuring accountability and effective governance.

The LEAD Project Foundation is run by the IMO People Development Foundation, a Nigerian and London-based organization that aims to cut poverty rates through social entrepreneurship, education and global development.
