If homes and other spaces could experience feelings and emotions, the one involved in the Le Cercle Ferme art installation would be described as feeling profound sadness or perhaps disillusionment. Despite being warped in its wilting state, the spaces are blandly familiar. This allows the audience to project their own personal thoughts and feelings about the project easier than if the installation was specifically styled.

Created by artists Martine Feipel and Jean Bechameil, the Le Cercle Ferme art installation was a Luxembourg’s entry in Venice Biennale. According to Fast Co. Design, the exhibit's brochure suggests that visitors be "prompted to think of the limits and boundaries of our familiar spaces, how they are bound by custom, and what spaces might exist beyond them."
