Latitude Margaritaville is a senior resort that was created by Jimmy Buffett, an American musician and businessman who also founded the company Margaritaville, which consists of restaurants, hotels, casinos, and more. To come up with Latitude Margaritaville, Buffett partnered with Minto Communities, a real estate company. The first location is in Daytona Beach, Florida, however Buffett plans to have more of his "active adult communities" built throughout the US in the future.
Latitude Margaritaville is much like Buffett's other resorts, in that is makes use of a Caribbean-inspired theme and promotes relaxation above all else. Services and amenities offered at the senior resort include indoor and outdoor pools, a beachfront club, a spa, live entertainment, and a wide range of food and drinks. It's reported that only those who are 55 and older may enter Latitude Margaritaville, making it the perfect escape for Baby Boomers who are looking to connect with their generational counterparts.
