'Overnight' Helps People Find Places to Crash In At Short Notice

Overnight is a smartphone app, developed by Asher Hunt, that is designed to make it easier for people to find last-minute accommodations that can range from a humble couch to a private bedroom to an entire home.

This app appears to bring together some of the most desirable features of Airbnb and Hotel Tonight. It currently has about 4,000 hosts on board. Users can download the app and then provide their phone number and government-issued identification for verification purposes. They can then see accommodations near them, filter them depending on their specifications and budget and then request a stay. Hosts are given the option of accepting or rejecting requests as they please.

The Overnight app caters to an increasingly mobile generation that is more likely than ever to require last-minute accommodations.
