Fashion writer Camilla Morton’s latest narrative 'Christian Lacroix and the Tale of Sleeping Beauty' has turned the preservation of traditional fairy tales on its head.

In place of the charming prince, who is so familiar to children and adults alike, the world-renowned fashion designer Christian Lacroix serves as an unlikely magnate. The plot becomes particularly jumbled when Mr. Lacroix awakes the princess with -- get this -- a makeover. Out goes the kiss, in comes a wardrobe overhaul.

Christian Lacroix enthusiasts can rest assured that the trance-like illustrations have been made by the designer himself and are being sold for a fraction of the price of most Lacroix-embossed products. Given Lacroix’s penchant for setting the bar, future generation-Y fable tweaks may begin to take shape.
