Kroger and GE Appliances have announced a partnership to provide consumers with intuitive access to essential items from the comfort of their own kitchen. The partnership will see compatible GE Appliances display Kroger content like recipes, which can then be expanded to show ingredients and instructions. Consumers will then be able to add items directly to their cart through the Kroger app to get their hands on them as quickly as possible and thus streamline the meal preparation experience.
VP of SmartHome and Energy Solutions at GE Appliances Shawn Stover spoke to Progressive Grocer on the Kroger and GE Appliances partnership saying, "This play with Kroger is the next step – how can we engage consumers outside of our walls in adjacent industries, like grocery, that our customers are interacting with and create experiences for them? We have 7-in. LCD panels in our ovens that can display content and we can display Kroger recipes or other partner recipes as inspiration for consumers.”
