Japan-based brand KICKS LAB. works in collaboration with ASICS on a sneaker model for the season entitled the 'KL-Samurai.' It takes the signature GEL-Lyte silhouette and adorns the model in a theme that nods to traditional Japanese culture. Specifically, it infuses a strong theme of the samurai spirit, which is a rich cultural presence of Japanese heritage.

This collaboration marks the duo's fourth time working together and it boasts muted hues of black predominantly with hits of bright red to accent. The uppers highlight construction of nubuck materials in black and dark gray with the red delivered on the midfoot panel to reference the Japan Rising Sun flag. There are branding details on the tongue in white and the heel as an additional contrast and the insoles feature a warrior wielding a sword to round out the entire silhouette.
