Kino Lorber Launched Kino Marquee to Support Independent Theaters

Kino Lorber launched Kino Marquee, which is a new service that will help to offset theater losses that are occurring due to COVID-19. The new services allows audiences to support local theaters by purchasing a digital version of the movie. Kino Marquee recently expanded from 12 to 150 theaters that are participating, and the service was created to mimic the theater experience. Films are scheduled each week from Fridays to Thursdays, and films will have their own dedicated webpage with branding from the relevant theater. Showings will also be promoted on each theaters social media pages.

Kino Lorber also indicated that's will be working to scale the new project. Richard Lorber, the CEO of the company, spoke about the project's future, “As a company whose mantra has always been “experience cinema” we’re keen to help our exhibition partners maintain their visibility and value in launching the whole media career of the carefully curated films we all care so much about."
