'KHIRY' is a High-End Jewelry Collection That Celebrates African Culture

KHIRY is the product of student Jameel Mohammed, who studies Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania. KHIRY is a line of high-end jewelry that is inspired heavily by the African population and keeps in mind the elements of strength, femininity, power, and romance.

The KHIRY collection features quality materials such as 18K gold, silk and leather cording and semi-precious stones.

According to designer, for as long as time can tell, high-end fashion has been synonymous with Eurocentric cultures and cities such as Milan, Paris and London. This has created a very narrow perspective for beauty and luxury. His aim with KHIRY is to create a new source of inspiration for global fashion while paying homage to the African routes from which the collection is inspired.

KHIRY's first collection for SS16 is heavily inspired by the idea of metropolitan Africa. An amalgamation of sleek, bold and romantic fashion jewelry, the collections pays attention to curating products using high-quality materials.

KHIRY, which has been acclaimed by fashion publications worldwide is currently being funded on Kickstarter.
