The world's biggest tent is the Khan Shatyr Entertainment Center, a modern cultural venue of Kazakhstan's capital city Astana. The structure was designed by acclaimed British architect Norman Foster and it stands 150 metres tall and covers 10,000 square metres.
Khan Shatyr houses indoor beaches, waterfalls, a mini golf course and botanic gardens. The roof of the building is covered with transparent plastic material to withstand Kzakhstan's extreme weather.
A range of leisure facilities and public spaces such as cinemas, restaurants and public parks are also available in the building. The Khan Shatyr Entertainment Center was officially opened this month by Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
