Just Travel Cover, an international travel insurance provider, has teamed up with InsurTech CPP UK to release ‘Smart Luggage,’ an innovative system that provides passengers real-time tracking of lost luggage.
The user-friendly platform requires passengers to upload a photo of their missing luggage receipt. Once uploaded, the system will reference its real-time database in an attempt to locate the user’s bag. If it is unable to find the missing luggage, users will be offered a £50 payout on the spot, leading to an eventual £500 cash return if it remains unlocated after 48 hours.
The beauty of the new ‘Smart Luggage’ system is that travelers will not be required to make a travel insurance claim to receive their entitlements. Currently, the ‘Smart Luggage’ is offered on all Just Travel Cover’s gold travel insurance policies.
