Belching Beaver, a brewhouse based in Oceanside, California, has launched a delicious and juicy IPA that is the first core beer produced by the company to make use of terpenes, compounds that are known to occur in pine trees, citrus and cannabis (although the terpenes used in this beer were not sourced from cannabis).
The aptly named 'Tropical Terps IPA' makes use of a quadrant of hops comprising the Strata, Mosaic, Citra and Simcoe varieties. The inclusion of terpenes allows the IPA to showcase scents and flavors that are simply impossible to produce with just the use of IPAs, with this particular beer benefiting from a tropical character highlighted by guava, mango, pineapples and lemons.
This delicious and juicy IPA is available for purchase in six-packs of 12-ounce cans.
