Artists Jeremyville and Maripol recently collaborated with Forever 21 to come up with a range of apparel that commemorates some of the streetwear fashion that was popular throughout the 1980s in NYC.
On colorful dresses, bathing suits, shorts, tees, jackets, and even aprons, are a series of illustrations and retro Polaroids -- with the latter depicting iconic figures like Madonna, Andy Warhol, and Debbie Harry.
Although each of the garments boasts a statement aesthetic, the hooded jacket within in the Jeremyville and Maripol Forever 21 collection is particularly eye-catching due to its unique use of iridescent material. As the silver light-reflecting material makes up the entire exterior of the jacket, it lends its wearer an extraterrestrial vibe that transports them into the future.
