Video Game Fashion Collab

Xbox & Zipangu Dropped Its Forza Horizon 6 Japanese Salvage Denim Collab

Xbox and Zipangu launched a limited-edition fashion capsule tied to the May 19 release of Forza Horizon 6, featuring two upcycled Japanese salvage denim jackets with laser-etched cherry blossoms, Mount Fuji and Japanese sports car graphics. The Forza Horizon 6 Zipangu jacket includes 3M reflective tape and a controller pocket, directly referencing the video game collaboration. A six-piece Sung Kang edition adds hand-sewn 3D cherry blossom appliqués, sashiko-style patches and rechargeable LED tape that illuminates in eight modes.

Both jackets were designed by UPRISE LAB, an AAPI-led Los Angeles-based design studio, with the Sung Kang edition also tied to his upcoming film Drifter.

As video game launches increasingly expand into fashion collaborations, Xbox and Zipangu show how pairing a game release with elevated Japanese streetwear-inspired design can create more collectible fan engagement than traditional merchandise alone.
