American photographer Jade Beall has tastefully captured images of an elderly interracial couple and the photos have gone viral. 75-year-old Gerry and 70-year-old Darwin lovingly embrace each other in the nude. They have been in love for over 20 years.
These images are part of a series Beall is dedicating to couples over the age of 60. Her vision is to rival the norms of what society deems as beautiful. She writes, "These elder bodies: the temples to decades of wisdom, heartbreak, strength, failure, triumph, THRIVING. How, I wonder, could they be anything but beautiful?" Her images have struck a cord with many. The images have already been shared by more that 34,000 people and have garnered over 19,000 likes.
This is not the first time Jade Beall's work has gone viral. Her series 'A Beautiful Body Project' captured the postpartum bodies of women.
