RacePace, a digital platform designed to provide personalized race-day strategies for trail and ultra runners, has announced a new partnership with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) that will integrate an athlete's complete competitive history into its planning engine.
This collaboration, which is a significant upgrade to the service, allows the platform to automatically import a user's ITRA performance score and, more importantly, their entire archive of past mountain races, covering everything from distances and terrain to the total number of years they have been competing. Previously, users had to manually enter their ITRA score, a process that offered a static snapshot of ability, but the new integration allows the algorithm to analyze the depth of a runner's experience and therefore create a more nuanced profile.
