Facebook Created an Interactive COVID-19 Map Based on Mass Survey Data

Facebook created an interactive COVID-19 map that displays the symptoms experienced by patients across the United States. The system data was gathered through Facebook’s partnership with Carnegie Mellon University, and the data will be updated on the platform as it's gathered. Additionally, Facebook stated that its interactive COVID-19 map will be expanded to other countries around the globe within a few days.

Facebook’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, stated that the platform is ideal for collecting this information because it has billions of users which will help ensure statistical accuracy. The platform creating the interactive map in order to help local government and public health organizations make informed decisions in their response to COVID-19.
