Integrated multi-kitchen dining is simplifying group meals as The Kitchen prepares to open at Toronto's Mirvish Village in early 2027. The dining destination will allow customers to combine dishes from 12 different food brands into a single kiosk order, eliminating the need for separate purchases. Completed meals will travel along a conveyor belt to pickup cubbies, allowing groups to receive their food together.
Spanning more than 9,000 square feet across two levels, the venue will accommodate over 460 indoor guests and nearly 100 additional outdoor seats. The space will also feature live music, viewing parties, and community events, extending its purpose beyond dining.
For participating restaurants, the Kitchen Hub-operated concept creates opportunities to reach new customers through a shared location. Centralized ordering could encourage customers to explore multiple menus, while entertainment programming may support longer visits and additional purchases.

What Makes This Trend Stand Out
- Unified Multi-brand Ordering
- Single-cart ordering across multiple restaurant concepts reveals white space for platforms that make fragmented food choices feel coordinated for groups and mixed-preference diners.
- Automated Pickup Dining
- Conveyor-fed cubbies point to a service model where automation improves meal synchronization, labor efficiency, and customer flow in high-volume dining spaces.
- Experiential Food Halls
- Dining venues blended with live music, viewing parties, and community programming create potential for food destinations to compete as social entertainment hubs rather than simple meal stops.
Sectors Adopting This
- Food Service
- Shared kitchens and multi-brand menus are reshaping restaurant expansion by giving operators access to foot traffic without the full cost of standalone storefronts.
- Hospitality
- Large-format dining environments with entertainment layers suggest new revenue models built around longer visits, group occasions, and flexible guest experiences.
- Restaurant Technology
- Kiosk aggregation, order routing, and automated pickup systems create demand for infrastructure that connects diverse menus into one seamless customer journey.
