X Shore, a Sweden-based company that specializes in construction and innovation in the all-electric boat market, has devised a high-tech electric boat which makes use of the technology used in the company's consumer-facing predecessor products but happens to target the maritime industry.
The 'X Shore Pro' is an electric boat that is set to be offered with an expanded and upgraded cabin setup that allows for enough room for a duo of crew members and up to eight passengers. Elsewhere, this professional version of the original 'X Shore' boat also offers expanded cargo space in order to cater to professional maritime settings. This makes it ideal for applications ranging from coast guard to seaborne transportation companies.
Jenny Keisu, CEO over at X Shore, said that this electric boat aims to play a part in helping the maritime industry better embrace sustainable forms of transportation. "We must not expect regular citizens to single handedly drive the major net zero transition we need to mitigate climate change – this change must be driven by powerful figures such as companies, cities, and politicians," Keisu observed. "In launching the Pro, X Shore is providing a valuable tool to reach sustainability targets."
