'Hollaback!' is an app that allows victims to document and share incidents of harassment with the public. For many women, street harassment is an unfortunate part of daily life. This app gives women the power to record these painful moments and help prevent future incidents of harassment.
The app provides a mobile map for women to see, track and record instances of street harassment. The map-based interface gives women a visual way to observe which areas of a city are prone to greater incidents of street harassment. Those who experience verbal or physical abuse are encouraged to share their stories on the app by using the hashtag '#iHollaback.'
