A new taxi app called iHail is bidding to make it easier than ever for people in New Zealand to book a taxi near them and pay for their fares without having to pull out any cash or cards.
Developed by Australian taxi dispatch company MTData, the app is similar to Uber in that it allows users to track the location of taxis using GPS and pay for fare through the app. However, iHail also offers some unique features such as the ability to jump the queue of passengers via the payment of a fee.
This taxi app works via an open platform and is designed to work with any and all taxi companies, enabling widespread use. Ultimately, iHail looks to be a worthy addition to the burgeoning taxi service sector, seeing as how it makes it easier than ever for passengers to get where they need to go.
