The tropical version of the dessert starts with orange Dole Whip, which is then combined with strawberry Fanta, and topped with a sweet combination of strawberry and red passion fruit syrup and Pop Rocks candy. The whole thing boasts a fiery orange and red color scheme that fits the punny name. As for the inspiration behind the new treat, the float gets its name from the 2015 Disney short Lava, which played in theaters just ahead of the movie 'Inside Out.'
