HouseCuts Facilitates Safe and Convenient Haircuts in the Boston Area

HouseCuts is a Boston-based company that launched in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. When Founder Shais Raza saw the increased reliance on tech when many businesses had to temporally close their doors to help curb the spread of the virus, he sought out a solution to help solve one commonly shared problem: getting a haircut.

By connecting customers in the Boston area with hairdressers and barbers who are willing to travel to meet their clients, HouseCuts acts as a resource for scheduling pandemic-friendly cuts. After first launching in June 2020, HouseCuts has grown its team of stylists and facilitated hundreds of cuts throughout the city.

To protect its stylists and the customers they serve, HouseCuts' sessions take place in an outdoors space, or within a well-ventilated area inside of a home. Stylists also conduct daily temperature checks, get tested on a bi-weekly basis, and wear PPE.
