Avid to novice travelers have all experienced disturbing details in their accommodations before and Hotel Nightmares is an online space that helps people share these frightening moments. Many horror movies have started or ended in such settings, especially when it comes to roadside motels and cheap hostels, so it is only natural that someone would have started Hotel Nightmares.
Granted, as written on its homepage, "At [Hotel Nightmares] we know that filth doesn’t operate by a star system and that nice hotels are just as likely to have a dookie stain on the bed spread as that joint your boss put you in near the New Orleans airport last week." Discrimination aside, walking into a questionable hotel can be as apprehensive an experience as putting on a scary movie for Halloween.
