Converted Garage Libraries

This Garage Was Converted into a Home Library

This cubic structure is a standout in an idyllic setting surrounded by rolling hills and from the outside, it is difficult to tell that it is actually a home library.

This modern structure was once a garage and loft space hybrid and was redesigned by Ziegler Antonin Architecte. It still functions as a garage, but the above loft has been converted into a spacious library for the homeowners. The library is the perfect mix of modern and cozy, with high ceilings and a ladder that can reach the tops of the bookshelves. The interior is designed with a traditional wooden aesthetic that is only disturbed by large, floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the beautiful views outside.

This converted home library shows that modern architecture and designs have a place anywhere -- including quaint towns that look anything but contemporary.
