Though the social media site seems to have exploded out of nowhere, it took approximately five years for the company to gain enough public acknowledgement and in 2007, Twitter strategically marketed its benefits at the South by Southwest Conference by tweeting live feeds of the event. The social media site’s daily posts increased threefold.
