Auto-Inspired Smartwatches

The New Hewlett Packard Smartwatch Looks Impressively Stylish

The Hewlett Packard smartwatch aims to shatter the notion that smartwatches are all about utility and don't offer much in terms of style.

The smartwatch, which is the result of a partnership between HP and the retailer Gilt, is going to be as fashion-forward as it will be functional. The watch will be designed by American designer Michael Bastian. It will feature a circular stainless steel case and three swappable bands -- black rubber, brown leather, olive green nylon and a limited edition black.

Bastian's design cues were inspired by the interior features of luxury automobiles. The Hewlett Packard watch's smart features will include notifications for email, text and calls as well as music controls and apps.
