There is a good reason why Superman is considered faster than a speeding bullet; photographer Herra Kuulapaa captures the sheer force that is behind each shot. In a blast of fire and smoke, firearms unleash deadly bullets that fly through the air too quickly to be discerned by the naked eye. In fact, people are probably not even aware that such a display even occurs. Thanks to Herra Kuulapaa, now they are.

As much as the images making up what Herra Kuulapaa has labelled his, 'High Speed Ballistics Photography' series, are impressive in sight, he does caution people's use of such weapons. He writes, "It also emphasizes the importance of firearm safety so please keep your eyes open on what really happens during the moment when gun fires and listen to our warnings."
