The speed at which the global community has responded to the March, 2011 Japanese earthquake and subsequent tsunami has been remarkable to behold, and it is in that spirit that this collection of Help Japan Posters takes its cues.

Featuring a myriad of different Help Japan Posters from massive worldwide organizations and home-based individual designers alike, what is remarkable about this collection is how each is uniquely different and yet equally effective. While all feature the red circle from Japan’s national flag set against its traditional white background, each poster finds a unique way to communicate their intent and impetus without being insensitive or ambiguous. In fact, many of them eschew language altogether, which only adds to their universally effective quality. By achieving the delicate balance between effectiveness and efficiency, each poster ensures that the universal message won’t be lost in translation.
