Hedge, a company specializing in professional-grade video software, has announced the launch of three product updates, all aimed at improving its suite of tools for film and video makers. These include HedgeReady RAW, Hedge Elements, and Canister Spanning.
The new features tackle three problem areas commonly faced by video editing professionals. HeadgeReady RAW focuses on improving the speed and efficiency of RAW transcoding. Hedge Elements deals directly with unorganized media that requires custom metadata inputs. And Canister Spanning works to ensure media archives can span multiple LTO types.
The Netherlands-based startup intends for these new updates to "make your life as a video professional easier,” explained Paul Matthijs, co-founder and CEO of Hedge. This is why each development was guided by actual consumer feedback regarding editors' most persistent requests related to improving editing workflow.
