The Harbor 051 trolley stacks and rotates like shipping containers at a port by borrowing logistic logic from Busan Port and applying it to movable furniture that adapts within living spaces. Designed by Ho joong Lee and Ho taek Lee, Harbor 051 consists of four container-like storage boxes arranged on a wheeled base, each capable of pivoting around a shared vertical axis so modules can remain compact or swing out sideways for easier access.
A vertical mast rising from the top of the trolley is capped with a horizontal beam that doubles as an integrated lamp, creating an ancillary lighting function alongside storage. The mast and beam also act as a visual anchor, giving the unit a clear front and a sense of direction when placed in a room. The trolley’s colour palette: deep blue containers, bright yellow mast and a red top module, references cranes, sea and local flora from Busan’s harbour environment.
