The Happiness Index of Countries Around the World is Shocking

The Happiness Index by Happy Planet outlines the level of euphoria in each country. This infographic shows the estimated level of happiness per person around the globe and outlines each state using a color meter. Countries scoring the highest levels are mainly situated in South and Central America. While the least euphoric countries include Russia, the United States of America and large parts of Africa.

Contributing factors to the Happiness Index include the country's efficiency, life expectancy, how happy the lives are that live there and their environmental output. Although each factor remains equal, the ecological footprint of a country's citizen is in fact the largest contributing factor to the graph.
